Sleep After a Tale...
Starting from personal nightmares, the artist poses the question: What would be the nightmare of all living beings? This inquiry unfolds into a series of figures embodied as hybrid human–animal forms, revealing the traces of human-made threats imposed on the natural world.
Traditional Turkish tile art operates here not merely as an aesthetic surface, but as a carrier of cultural memory. Its integration into a contemporary narrative establishes a continuity between past and present, while exposing the historical layers of the human–nature relationship.
Nightmare invites the viewer to confront not only these hybrid beings, but the shared nightmare of our time.
