The Becoming Of
2026
This work approaches becoming not as a point of origin, but as a process of rupture and transformation.
The figure remains connected to nature; however, this connection is no longer continuous. It is fragmented, disrupted, and reconfigured. The broken surfaces are not merely physical damage, but indicators of a deeper transformation—where body, identity, and cultural structures dissolve and shift into new forms.
The integrity of the traditional tile surface is intentionally interrupted. Breakage is not treated as loss, but as a necessary condition for becoming. The organic layers revealed beneath the surface trace an ongoing transformation that exceeds what is visible.
“The Becoming of …” rejects fixed identity.
It proposes a state of existence that is continuously shifting, breaking, and reforming between body, culture, and nature.
